In 1996, South Carolina enacted the Gift of Life Trust Fund that encourages drivers to donate their organs and tissues to help save lives and assists state residents in the transplant process.

Your driver's license or ID card can reflect your desire to be an organ or tissue donor. Just download and complete a Donor Card or obtain one when you apply or renew your driver's license. Make sure to carry your card with you at all times.
